NO! to test with animals

15.05.2019

To date, 12 million animals in Europe die every year when they are used to test products on them. These are the data from the last survey that is available in the EU. 115 million if we speak worldwide where countries like the United States, Taiwan, China, Germany, Japan, France, Brazil, the United Kingdom or Canada are the most tested.

What is testing animals?

These tests are performed to determine if the products are safe for human consumption. The tests are painful and the companies do not sedate the animals, all cases of testing on animals end with the death of the animal.

What animals are used?

The most used species vary are rodents and other mammals, birds and amphibians are used to a lesser extent. The only parameter to choose the species is that it has some features in common with us: the most similar skin, the most similar cornea, the most similar lungs...

What is thought is that the victims of these experiments are only white laboratory mice, nothing could be further from the truth. The most used are precisely rabbits, in addition to their resemblance to us are rather small animals, reproduce easily and are cheap.

Necessary?

The clear answer to this question is NO. It is unnecessary to such an extent that the European Union does not require that products be tested on animals to be traded. So really these tests are not necessary. Our business supports all companies that are Cruelty Free and Vegan Free, so here is a list of the best cruelty free brands:
